My Oncology Resource is an industry-changing cancer treatment assessment tool that launched in the Fall of 2013. This digital resource was specifically developed to provide all options available at each stage of treatment for lung cancer. The site takes into account the patient’s characteristics, medical details and prior therapy considerations when outputting the possible treatment options.

The challenge presented by this was three-fold: 1) Find a way to transform an incredibly complex algorithm from paper and thought into a functional, digital interface, 2) In addition to the cancer treatment options, present all supporting documentation and funding options available with each option and 3) accomplish the first two tasks in an aesthetically pleasing way and create a simple to use interface that is not dominated by presenting too much data at once.

CCI Studios worked very closely with a group Oncology specialists to ensure that the end product would be useful as both an assessment tool to current physicians, but also as a training tool for residents. In addition to the design and development of the site, CCI created the entire brand for the site, all training manuals and materials, as well as all promotional resources associated with spreading awareness of the tool to the medical community across North America.

The project has been extremely well received by physicians and front-line staff, alike. The popularity of the tool has been the catalyst for two additional cancer assessments being added to the site – melanoma and gastrointestinal. These two additions are estimated to be completed and launched in the Summer of 2015.
